more than once I've encountered an adult giving something of a dire warning to a child along the lines of "you should
never
mix the colors"
meanwhile, me and my kiddo are just having fun watching the multi-colored play dough spaghetti come out of the extruder. 🤷

I think it is a money saving measure by parents. Because if you mix the blue playdough with red playdough, you can't unmix it. Then the child wants more blue playdough, and the parent has to go and buy more blue playdough.

My daughter is into mixing colors. They learn what makes new colors but soon it turns into blech. But she hasn't use playdough for awhile, she's been into painting and drawlng. I found a huge role of white paper that can cover our dining table, which is like a 6' by 4' glass table. so at some point you have to "Scroll" the paper to a new point and get a clear sheet. I think it would be good for her birthday party, her friends can draw all over the table. It might be cool to hang the paper all around the room, tape it to the wall, and draw a huge mural. that would be about 50 feet total i'm guessing, with 3 walls
